Allowing the current President of the Downing Park Planning Commission to speak on the history of Downing Park after a damaging Cyclocross race was sanctioned and permitted by her/them in that important historic park is a disgrace! I would encourage all attendees of this talk to go and check out the damage incurred this past weekend. Old tree roots were damaged, there are deep ruts where grass used to be. Cyclocross bicycle racing is an inappropriate use of the park especially when there are many more appropriate venues all over the Hudson Valley. It is a crime that taxpayer dollars are going towards a talk by a woman who does not in the least understand what she's being paid to talk about!
