The boats are part of The Great International Steamboat Flotilla, a group of American and Canadian steamboat owners who plan cruises with their boats every year. The Champlain Canal was chosen for this year's cruise so that a steamboat presence can properly honor the Robert Fulton aspect of the Quadricentennial.
