The first keg of Hudson River Quadricentennial Gold Rye Ale was tapped as Mayor Harry Tutunjian announced the city's events from June through September. Since he became mayor five years ago, Tutunjian said the list of events has expanded. "This year is no different. We continue to grow,'' Tutunjian said. Gary Brown of Brown's Brewing said, "The 17 years I've been doing business in this building, things keep getting better.'' The city opens its summer schedule on June 10 with the first of eight Rockin' on the River Concert Series. These concerts are held 5-8:30 p.m. every Wednesday through July 29 in the parking lot north of the Green Island Bridge. The Sixth Annual River Street Festival is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., June 20. The arts and music festival will be along downtown's River Street. The second Troy Pig Out New York State Barbecue Championship will be held July 18 and 19 downtown. Troy Night Out will be held downtown on the last Friday of the month. The Third Annual Chowderfest will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sept. 20 in the parking lot just north of the Green Island Bridge. The Chowderfest will begin the city's weeklong salute to the Hudson-Fulton-Champlain Quadricentennial.
