It is very important that the organizers make a point of not booking bands that inspire violence or tension. No heavy metal or heavy screemo music. Woodstock is just too intense and moving to function with that kind of music blasting into people's heads. We need peaceful music prefferably with positive overtones. Credence, Joe cocker, Willie Nelson, Alecia keys, Paul Simon, Outcast .... Please don't make the same mistake as last time. No offense to heavy metal fans, but this is just not the place for that. Even Bono could be a little too negative these days (put on your boots), but try telling him that.

  • HUDSON RIVER MILES
    The Hudson is measured north from Hudson River Mile 0 at the Battery at the southern tip of Manhattan. The George Washington Bridge is at HRM 12, the Tappan Zee 28, Bear Mountain 47, Beacon-Newburgh 62, Mid-Hudson 75, Kingston-Rhinecliff 95, Rip Van Winkle 114, and the Federal Dam at Troy, the head of tidewater, at 153. Entries from points east and west in the watershed reference the corresponding river mile on the mainstem.
