Tivoli Day June 20 2009 A Hudson River Quadricentennial Event

Volunteers are sought for Tivoli Day 2009
TIVOLI - The village is seeking volunteers to be part of Tivoli Day 2009.
The villagewide event will be held June 20."Tivoli Day 2009, Bringing it Back Home" will include races, music, food, a parade, vendors and artists.The event will celebrate the Hudson River Quadricentennial, and will have a Hudson River theme.Anyone wishing to volunteer can call Deputy Mayor Bryan Cranna at 845-757-3933 or e-mail[email protected].The next planning meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at village hall.

    The Hudson is measured north from Hudson River Mile 0 at the Battery at the southern tip of Manhattan. The George Washington Bridge is at HRM 12, the Tappan Zee 28, Bear Mountain 47, Beacon-Newburgh 62, Mid-Hudson 75, Kingston-Rhinecliff 95, Rip Van Winkle 114, and the Federal Dam at Troy, the head of tidewater, at 153. Entries from points east and west in the watershed reference the corresponding river mile on the mainstem.
