Chances are you've seen Kathleen Madigan on one of her many television specials or guest appearances, such as "Last Comic Standing," "The Tonight Show," "The Conan O'Brien Show" and "Late Night with David Letterman." If you haven't, it's time you made her acquaintance. Madigan's razor sharp stand-up has earned her international fame and accolades from the likes of Lewis Black ("The funniest woman in America") and Jay Leno (One of America's funniest female comics"). She even defeated the ever-popular Larry the Cable Guy to win the 2007 Sirius Radio Comedy Cup. Madigan provides her comedic point of view as a special correspondent for "The Dr. Phil Show," and appeared as one of Cheri Oteri's clients in the AMC program, "Life Coach." Dar Wiliams and
Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams
Saturday, April 30th - 8pm
At the core of Williams' work is a belief in the innate ability of people to make a better world, the product of countless observations in her travels and conversations with her fans. If anything, her optimism has intensified as she's crisscrossed America during the tough times of recent years. "My big secret," she says, with a twinkle in her eye, "is that we are gonna make it - but we'll be the last to know."
The music of GANDALF MURPHY AND THE SLAMBOVIAN CIRCUS OF DREAMS has been variously described as "hillbilly-Floyd," "folk-pop," "alt-country, roots-rock," and "surreal Americana;" a clear indicator of its singularly indescribable uniqueness. Dancing freely between all existing religious and philosophical mythologies, the music is uplifting, empowering, and a lot of fun.
"The Slambovians cast a wide net ... (their) music seems to energize anyone who hears it." - Relix Magazine

Prisoners of Second Avenue
The Spirit of Fillmore East
Friday, May 13th, 2011 - 8pm

$85 Tickets include a post show meet and greet with the band to get autographs, take pictures, and talk music! Jimmy Vivino's brainchild started as a "deeper cuts from my favorite records dating 1967 through 1973" type of band. Everything had to have a Who or Cream type of power trio sound - even if he called a The Band or Electric Bob Dylan type of song. After calling John Conte and Rich Pagano to complete the trio, they soon realized that their sound embodied the energy and spirit of Bill Graham's Fillmore East and with Jimmy's knowledge of the flow of an evening at the venue, they began to design a somewhat psychedelic yet soaring and streamlined show. Suddenly fans were flocking to BB Kings Blues Club and The Bowery Ballroom in New York City to hear the Po2A interpretations, extreme musical left turns and see just who was going to sit in as special guests which have included, Warren Haynes, Levon Helm, Al Kooper, Paul Shaffer, Willie Nile, GE Smith, David Johansen and Rosanne Cash.
